How Much Does a Private Morocco Tour Cost?

Most tour companies ask you to enquire before they tell you a price. This page lists ours for every tour length, explains what is and is not included, and shows what other operators publish so you can compare.

Prices are per person for a private tour. Every trip is tailored, so the final price depends on your group size, hotel and camp level, and what you add.

What the price includes

Included

  • A private air-conditioned vehicle for the whole trip
  • An English- or Spanish-speaking driver who stays with you from start to finish
  • Pickup and drop-off at your accommodation or the airport
  • Accommodation every night: riads, hotels and a desert camp
  • Breakfast every day. Dinner every night on 3 to 5 day tours. On tours of 6 days or more, some dinners, listed in your quote
  • A camel ride in the Sahara on tours that include the desert

Not included

  • International flights
  • Lunches and drinks
  • Entrance fees to monuments and museums
  • Tips for drivers, guides and camp staff
  • Travel insurance

On longer tours a local guide leads the walking days in Fes and Marrakech. Ask us to confirm exactly which guided days are in your quote, because that is the item that differs most between operators.

What moves your price within the range

FactorEffect on priceWhat to know
Group sizeLargest effectThe vehicle and driver cost the same whether two or six people travel, so the cost per person falls as the group grows. A solo traveller pays towards the top of the range.
Hotel and camp levelLarge effectStandard, comfort or luxury. A luxury riad in Marrakech or Fes can cost several times a standard one, and a luxury desert camp adds a private bathroom and larger tent.
Tour lengthProportionalEach added day adds a night of accommodation, meals and driver time, so the published range rises with length.
ExtrasSmall to mediumQuad bikes or a 4x4 in the dunes, a hot-air balloon in Marrakech, cooking classes, an extra guided day.
Start and end citiesSmallA one-way tour, for example Marrakech to Fes, may be priced a little differently from a loop. Your quote shows the figure for your route.

The prices do not change by season. What does change in spring and autumn, the busiest months, is availability: the better riads and camps fill early, so the choice at each price level narrows if you book late. See the best time to visit Morocco.

What a private tour costs per day

Dividing each range by the number of days gives a simple way to compare with other quotes. Short desert tours work out at roughly €140 to €270 per person per day. Tours of 6 days and more run from about €220 to €540 per person per day, depending mostly on hotel level.

For comparison, travelling independently, Best Morocco Travel puts everyday spending at about $30 to $50 a day for budget travellers and $80 to $150 a day for mid-range travellers, before any long-distance transport. A private tour costs more than that because it adds a vehicle and driver for your party alone and removes the planning.

How our prices compare with other operators

Few Morocco operators publish prices. These are the ones we could find in October 2026, taken from each company's own website. They are in the currency each company uses and the inclusions are not identical, so treat this as a guide to the market, not a like-for-like test.

Shared 3-day minibus tours from Marrakech to Merzouga are sold on booking marketplaces from roughly $95 to $180 per person. They cost less because you share the vehicle and follow a fixed schedule. See private vs group tours.

What to budget on top of the tour

  • Lunches. A sit-down lunch on the road typically costs 80 to 150 dirhams per person, less for a simple tagine in a village café.
  • Entrance fees. Major monuments in Marrakech and Fes usually charge between 50 and 100 dirhams each.
  • Tips. Tipping is customary. A common guideline is around 100 to 200 dirhams a day for a private driver or guide, and 10 to 20 dirhams for a porter. Give what you feel the service was worth.
  • Cash. The dirham is a closed currency, so you get it on arrival from ATMs or exchange counters. Cards work in hotels and larger restaurants but not in most small shops.

How to compare two tour quotes fairly

  1. Check whether the price is per person or per group, and for how many travellers.
  2. Check the hotel names, not only the star level. Look each one up.
  3. Count the guided city days and ask whether guide fees and monument entries are included.
  4. Ask which desert camp is used and whether the tent has a private bathroom.
  5. Confirm which meals are included and whether airport transfers are.
  6. Ask whether the tour is private or shared, and the size of the vehicle.

Questions people ask

How much does a 7-day private tour of Morocco cost?

Our 7-day private tours cost €1,700 to €3,800 per person, including a private vehicle and driver, accommodation, breakfasts and some dinners. See the 7-day tour from Marrakech.

How much does a 3-day desert tour from Marrakech cost?

A private 3-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga costs €500 to €800 per person with us. Shared minibus tours on the same route sell for much less because you share the vehicle with other travellers.

Is Morocco expensive to visit?

By European or North American standards Morocco is good value. Everyday costs such as meals, taxis and entry fees are low. The largest costs are flights and, if you choose one, a private tour with higher-level hotels.

Are prices per person or per group?

Per person. The lowest figure in each range applies to larger groups in standard accommodation, and the highest to solo travellers or luxury hotels and camps.

Do prices go up in high season?

No. The ranges on this page apply all year. In spring, autumn and over New Year the best-value rooms sell out first, so booking early gives you more choice at each level.

Do I pay anything to get a quote?

No. You send an enquiry, we reply with a route and an exact price, and nothing is paid until you have agreed the itinerary.
